Embroidery of Translucent Maple Leaves
I love translucent light and had wanted to create this in leaves for some time. I was so pleased with this. The black background really helped the leaves to stand out. I used a variety of yellows, oranges and reds to create the Autumnal colours. Overlaying the colours enabled the white and pale yellow to shine through. The finer I can work, the more detail I can get; this enabled the edges of the leaves to stay crisp.
